Defining what you do want

Updated: Jul 4, 2022

Preview of Chapter 6.

In the last article, you got to explore what you don't want in your new chapter and didn't enjoy from past career experiences, now it’s time to flip your don’ts and turn them into what you do want.

Most people haven't spent the time considering what they want from life or their career. It's now time to give yourself permission to explore, get curious and put your needs first.

See an example below of how to flip the don't want into wants.

Don’t Want | Don’t Enjoy

Want’s

Being yelled at

Treated with respect

Long commute

Work from home

Violence at work

Peace within the work environment

Create your own table and flip your don'ts into wants.

How did you go with the want list?

If I had asked you first what you wanted in your career, this may have been a challenge to answer and you would have said, ‘I don’t know?'

Yet by completing this activity you can begin to gain some clarity around what you want your ideal career to look like, feel like, and even smell like.

The clearer you become, the more focus and energy you can put into what’s important.

If you would like to discuss your career journey and what you do want in your next chapter, organise your FREE Discover Session.

I look forward to catching up.
